You love tabletop games. You just need people to play them with.
Finding other players shouldn't be this hard. You've tried Facebook groups where posts get buried in hours. Discord servers that feel like walking into someone else's party. Meetup listings that cost organisers money just to exist.
You're not looking for something complicated. Just a straightforward way to find local players, see what's happening nearby, and actually get some games to the table.
That's why Roll for Company exists.
Why this exists
I'm Dave Simpson (@RowanTrailFinder), and I built this because I know exactly what it's like to love tabletop games but have nobody to play them with.
As a teenager, I was into Warhammer 40k and Call of Cthulhu. Loved the games, loved the worlds, had all the books and miniatures. What I didn't have was anyone to actually play them with. That feeling of having a passion but no community to share it. That stuck with me.
Roll for Company is the platform I wish had existed back then. A straightforward way to find local players, discover what's happening nearby, and actually get games to the table. No drama, no gatekeeping, just people who want to roll some dice and have a good time.
What this platform does
Find players near you. Search by location, see who's looking for groups, check out their game collections and what they're interested in playing.
Discover local events. Game cafes, shop tournaments, gaming group meetups, home games, one-shots. All in one place. RSVP, get reminders, actually show up.
Connect with local game spaces and communities. Find the cafes, shops, and gaming groups near you, see what they're running, support the places and people that support the hobby.
You can also build your game collection profile, join community discussions, and buy or sell games locally through the marketplace. Everything you need to go from "I wish I had people to play with" to "same time next week?"
Who this is for
Anyone who loves tabletop RPGs or board games and wants to find other people to play them with.
Maybe you're new to the area and don't know the local scene yet. Maybe you're new to the hobby and want to find a welcoming group. Maybe your old group fell apart and you're starting from scratch.
You don't need to be an expert. You don't need to own a hundred games. You just need to want to play.
The platform is 18+ for now. We're keeping things simple for launch and making sure we can maintain a safe, well-moderated community.
For game cafes, shops, and gaming groups
If you run a local game cafe, shop, or gaming community, you can claim your profile on the platform, manage your event calendar, and promote directly to nearby players. It's free to start, and we'll only ever add paid features if they genuinely add value for you.
This isn't about extracting money from local businesses or community organisers. It's about helping the places and people that keep the hobby alive actually reach the players who want to support them.
What happens next
We're building this across the UK, one community at a time. We're adding local game spaces and gaming groups to help players discover what's already happening in their area, and giving those communities the tools to connect with new members.
The goal isn't to build some massive platform that does everything for everyone. It's to solve one specific problem really well: helping people who love tabletop games find each other and actually play.
If that sounds like something you need, make an account and see who's nearby.
